Cavalli Pizza is a nice casual Italian spot in Adriatica Village, McKinney, especially if you want more than just a quick slice. They have casual table seating, bar seating, wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas, pasta, and other Italian dishes. We visited on a Sunday evening and there was live music, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere. I’m not sure if the live music is every Sunday or just on certain weekends. We ordered The McKinney Favorite, a pizza with salamino, hot capicola, Italian sausage and basil. The pizza had good flavor and wasn’t greasy, which I really liked. I prefer a moderate amount of sauce, and this was pretty good in that regard. My only disappointment was the crust-it was more soft than crispy, although still enjoyable. The highlight for me was the Rigatoni alla Salsiccia with Italian sausage, roasted tomatoes, Tuscan kale and a creamy sauce. It was absolutely delicious and easily my favorite dish of the meal. If I come back, I would order this pasta again for sure. We also tried the Gumbo, which I personally didn’t enjoy as much. Well, it's not often I'm surprised by a restaurant, but today I was. My wife and I had jalapeno and artichoke dip for an appetizer that was fantastic. We then ordered the Dallas pizza and the McKinney pizza. They were both superb. The service was top notch, even my water glass stayed full.

Amazing service, the server was above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We ordered a quattro formaggi pizza and an amazing lasagna, both tasting really good. The Nutella pizza was also off the charts. It was our first time visiting the area and the restaurant, and we’ll definitely be coming back.

10 out of 10!!!! The fried artichokes are the best I have ever had! The pizza is incredibly good, the crust is nice & thick fluffy on the ends. I am definitely happily surprised to have found a new place for dinner! I like that it’s small & everyone is friendly. The entire staff is kind & constantly checking to see if you need anything. So happy I found this place

There is something immediately inviting about Cavalli. The room feels alive — warm lighting, animated conversation, and a certain Italian charm that makes you linger a little longer at the table. The ambiance carries confidence. For a moment, you feel transported. The penne vodka, however, did not quite achieve the same harmony. It leaned slightly too salty for my taste, and the cheese was pronounced — almost overpowering — masking the subtle creaminess and balance one hopes for in a well-executed vodka sauce. It was not unpleasant, but it lacked refinement. A dish with potential, yet one that felt heavier than it needed to be. The Margherita pizza arrived hot and fresh, its marinara bright and present. The undercarriage held structure — a detail any pizza enthusiast appreciates. Yet the cheese separated too easily from the crust, sliding away rather than melding seamlessly into it. It was a respectable pie, enjoyable in the moment, though not one that compels a return on its own. Cavalli delivers atmosphere and solid effort, though true balance remained just out of reach. Not every meal is art, but every meal leaves a mark.
